I chose to research the southern right whale dolphin because I thought it looked interesting. The top of the southern right whale’s dolphin body is black and the bottom half is white. There is a clear dividing line between the black and white spaces. It has small black flukes. The beak is white and it has 88-98 teeth on the top and 88-98 on the bottom. The southern right whale dolphin has a slick slender body. It does not have a dorsal fin and has small curved white flippers with black edges. The adult is 6- ½ feet long. The Newborn is 32-39 inches. The Adult weight is 130-220 lb. And the birth weight is unknown. These reasons are why I chose the southern right whale dolphin.
